  • Superb Dictation/Transcribe App

    I have searched all over the Internet for several dictation app and this has been one of the most useful in the highest quality that I’ve ever tried. This app has changed how I do work completely.
  • Disappointing... poor tech support and customer service.

    I tried this program in hopes that it would assist in word processing entry. Perhaps my lack of research, but the app only works in its own programming (it doesn’t allow you to use the feature in Word, Notepad or any other area. The word recognition was poor, and I became frustrated with it within an hour and stopped using it. Cancelling the monthly subscription led to more frustration. The website leads you to the order page and the instruction to “manage your subscription” which is not visible on either my IPad or IPhone... a call the tech support, a first line tech and a supervisor, then to a “shop” staff finally allowed Nuance to cancel my subscription... but none of the three could instruct me on how to do so myself. I’ve used Dragon software in the past and had great results, however this version was not usable in my situation.

    Periodically, my hands and arms hurt so much that I can’t type. When this happens, Dragon always came to the rescue, allowing me to continue working, while I rested my hands. Then Dragon stopped supporting Mac. All of the other voice recognition software programs out there stink compared to Dragon, so I tried Dragon Anywhere, in hopes of creating a workaround. I figured that I could dictate into my iPad, and then copy to a Word doc and send it to my Mac. (Not ideal, but better than Apple’s native voice recognition software, which, as I noted, stinks.) Unfortunately, this app is no help at all, because it keeps crashing. I would pay a lot of money to have Dragon working on Mac again. With an aging population that will become more and more disabled, it seems like a bad business move for Nuance/Dragon to be abandoning Mac platforms. The best thing about Dragon is that it learns as it goes. Why don’t any other voice recognition software platforms do that? If Nuance doesn’t want to support Dragon for Mac, can they please sell their IP to some other company that wants to make money in this niche market? An aging population of Mac users will need this kind of software to stay engaged. I wish that Nuance would change its mind and start supporting Mac again - or strike a deal with some young entrepreneur to sell the IP that makes Dragon so awesome. By the way, I dictated this using Siri on my iPhone. And it stunk. So many mistakes. Dragon did a better job in the mid 90s, when I first started using it. So, while I offer apologies for the typos, I blame Siri... and Nuance. :(

  • Disaster!

    This app is a disaster! I forgot my password but when I go to reset it, it says the server is down. This has been going on for a month so of course, they charge me for a product I can’t use! I’ve had Dragon Naturally Speaking on my laptop and loved it but this app isn’t worth the trouble. Please cancel my subscription—I would do it myself but the app won’t let me!
  • Impossible to log in

    I don’t know what’s going on with Nuance, but I can no longer log onto their site, which means I can’t manage my subscription to this app. No matter what browser I use, and regardless of whether I use a tablet or a notebook, I get the message "An unknown error occurred." I’ve reset my password multiple times, but it makes no difference. Apparently many other people are having the same issue, which has persisted for months; oddly, Nuance doesn’t seem to care. Even before I encountered this problem, I’d found that Dragon Anywhere was less accurate than it had been. For a while, it worked very well, but now, given the combination of the app's deteriorating performance and the company’s broken website, I can’t recommend it at all.

    Terrible customer service. What a waste of time. Could not open the app on iPhone. Was on the phone with these bums for 90 mins. I could not understand the customer support.
  • Great App but unaccountable, affronting, useless customer service.

    I had login issues. Found out the company doesn’t support subscriptions purchased through Apple after 45 minutes on the phone with them. Then transferred to “technical support” who after another 15 minutes they were able to reset my password.
  • IPad Pro problems

    It works well on my iPhone, but there is no audio input on my iPad pro. About six months ago, it worked fine. I’m not sure if it’s the latest update to Dragon anywhere, or the iOS update. Regardless, the microphone does not pick up any audio. Very frustrating. On another note, I wish they would make a dragon keyboard instead. That way I would be able to dictate directly into applications. I’m not sure why this is so hard when other apps like Grammarly and Google keyboard are able to do this.

    Worked fine until yesterday. Now the app won’t open. Splash screen comes up then app closes. Perhaps an update issue?
